# Reader Settings

> Customize font size, color scheme, red-letter mode, and other reading preferences.

Reader settings let you tailor the Bible reading experience to your preferences. Changes apply immediately across the app.

## Open Reader Settings

Tap the **settings icon** (gear or sliders icon) in the Bible reader's top navigation bar, or go to **Profile → Reader Settings**.

## Available settings

### Color scheme

Choose how the app looks:

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| System | Follows your device's dark/light mode setting |
| Light | Always uses the light theme |
| Dark | Always uses the dark theme |

### Bible translation

Choose the active Bible translation used by the reader. Supported options include KJV+, WEB, RV1909, and BSB. Some translations download the first time you select them.

When selecting RV1909, Seed Scroll can prompt you to switch the app language to Spanish too. See [Spanish Support](/getting-started/spanish-support).

### Font size

Adjust the text size in the Bible reader using the size slider. Changes take effect immediately so you can preview while adjusting.

### Red-letter mode

Toggle **Red Letters** on to display the words of Jesus in red in the New Testament. This setting is off by default.

### Strong's badges

Toggle whether Strong's number badges appear on each word when the active translation supports badge display. Turning them off gives a cleaner reading view. Strong's study remains available from the verse panel, with behavior depending on the active translation.

## Study preferences

Choose your preferred study depth for AI studies and reading plans. See [Study Preferences](/account/study-preferences) for details.

## Reading reminder

To set a daily reading reminder, scroll down to **Reading Reminder** in Reader Settings, enable it, and choose a time. See [Notifications](/features/notifications) for more details.

## Push notifications

Scroll to **Push Notifications** to choose which activity is allowed to alert your device: new followers, study interactions, reading plan activity, and new studies from people you follow. Turning a category off stops the device alert while the activity still appears in your in-app inbox. See [Notifications](/features/notifications) for the full list.
