# Create an Account

> Sign up with email, Google, or Apple to sync your study notes, access the social feed, and unlock premium features.

A Seed Scroll account backs up your study notes to the cloud, restores your reading position on any device, and lets you follow other Bible students. You can also use the app without an account — see [Guest Mode](/getting-started/guest-mode).

## Sign-up methods

Seed Scroll supports three ways to create an account:

    Sign in with your existing Google account — no separate password needed.
  </Card>

    Sign in with Apple on iOS, web, or the desktop app. Optionally hide your email using Apple's private relay.

<Note>
  Sign in with Apple uses the native Apple sheet on iOS and a browser-based Apple sign-in flow on web and desktop.

## Create an account with email

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the sign-up screen">
    On the onboarding screen, tap **Create Account**. On the auth screen, tap **Create Account** again to open the email sign-up form.

  <Step title="Enter your email and password">
    Type your email address in the **Email** field. Choose a password at least 6 characters long, enter it in **Password**, and re-enter it in **Confirm Password**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit the form">
    Tap **Create Account**. Seed Scroll sends a confirmation email to the address you provided.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify your email">
    Open the email from Seed Scroll and click the confirmation link to activate your account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    Return to the app, tap **Sign In**, enter your email and password, then tap **Sign In** to enter the app.

<Warning>
  The confirmation link expires after a short time. If you do not see the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder. You can request a new link by attempting to sign in — the app will prompt you to resend it if your email is unverified.

## Sign in with Google

    On the auth screen, tap **Continue with Google**.

  <Step title="Authenticate with Google">
    A browser window opens with Google's sign-in flow. Select your Google account and grant the requested permissions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Return to the app">
    After authenticating, the browser closes and you are signed in automatically. On Android, tap **Back** to return to the app after the browser redirects.

## Sign in with Apple

    On the auth screen, tap the **Sign in with Apple** button.

  <Step title="Authenticate">
    On iOS, the standard Apple authentication sheet appears. On web and desktop, your browser opens Apple's sign-in page. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password. You can choose to share or hide your email address using Apple's private relay.

  <Step title="Enter the app">
    After Apple confirms your account, Seed Scroll returns you to the app and signs you in.
  </Step>

## Free account vs. premium

All accounts are free to create. A premium subscription unlocks additional AI and social features.

  Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). You cannot purchase a subscription through the web version — open the iOS or Android app to subscribe.

## Sign in on a new device

When you sign in with the same account on a second device, your notes and reading position restore automatically. There is nothing extra to configure — sign in with the same method you used originally and everything syncs in the background.

## Reset your password

If you signed up with email and cannot remember your password:

    Tap **Sign In** → **Continue with Email**, then tap **Forgot password?** below the sign-in button.

  <Step title="Enter your email">
    Type the email address on your account and tap **Send Reset Link**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check your email">
    Open the reset link in the email from Seed Scroll. You will be taken to a page where you can set a new password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in with your new password">
    Return to the app and sign in with your updated credentials.
  </Step>
