Journeys, spoken narration and the guide are premium features. The map, its places, artifacts and links to the reader are open to everyone. Access to the premium parts ends if your subscription lapses.
Explore the map
The map opens over Jerusalem, tilted so the hill country reads as hills. Drag to move, scroll to zoom, and hold the right mouse button (or two fingers on a trackpad) to tilt and rotate. Press the Home button beside the map’s controls to return to the opening view at any time. Every glowing point is a place named in scripture. Open one to see:- What kind of place it is (a city, a mountain, a river, a region) and its modern name where it has one
- How many verses name it, with links that open each one in the reader
- Any artifacts or reconstructions tied to it
Eras
The rail under the map moves the map through time: Patriarchs, Exodus and Conquest, Judges, Kingdom, Exile and Return, Gospels and Acts, or All for every place at once. Each era lights only the places that belong to it. In the All, Exodus and Conquest, Judges and Kingdom views the map also shades the tribal allotments of Joshua 13–19; open one to read the verses that set its borders.Hebrew names
The Names toggle beside the era rail switches place labels between their English names and the Hebrew names as the Cepher spells them. If you read a Cepher translation in the reader, Atlas opens with Hebrew names already on.Artifacts and reconstructions
Some places carry 3D models: reconstructions of Babylon, Solomon’s Temple, Herod’s Temple and the Tabernacle, scans of sites like the synagogue at Capernaum, and museum artifacts like the Lachish reliefs. Open one from its place card to turn it in a full-screen viewer. Each model shows its author and licence.Journeys
