Choose a translation
Tap the translation label in the reader navigation bar to switch between supported translations. See Bible Translations for the full support matrix. The reader remembers your active translation and uses it when opening passages from search, notes, reading plans, playlists, and notifications.Navigating the Bible
Jump to a book, chapter, or verse
Tap the navigation bar at the top of the screen to open the full-screen book and chapter picker. The navigation bar shows the current passage using readable book names so it is easier to tell where you are before jumping. Select a book, then a chapter, and optionally a specific verse to scroll directly to it. The picker groups books into Old Testament and New Testament sections, with quick-jump buttons for moving between the sections. When you open the picker, the book list starts in its default position. Use the Old Testament and New Testament quick-jump buttons to move between sections; the active button updates as you scroll. The picker validates the reference before navigating. If a chapter or verse is not valid for the selected book, Seed Scroll asks you to correct it first.Compare two passages
Tap the Compare button in the reader header to open a split-pane layout. The left pane keeps your primary reader passage, and the right pane opens a compare passage. Both panes use your active translation. For how the two passages behave when you change translation or leave and return, see Compare Passages. To see one verse worded across several translations instead, see Compare Translations. Each pane has its own Change action for choosing a book and chapter. Use the bottom Prev and Next controls in each pane to move that pane through scripture without changing the other pane. Tap the open-out icon in either pane to open that pane as the main reader passage. Use this when you want to long-press a verse, study a Strong’s word, or use the standard verse study panel without losing your comparison setup. When you open a pane this way, Seed Scroll shows a Back to compare action above the reader. Tap it to restore the previous primary and compare passages. Compare mode keeps both panes independently scrollable. When you change passages, skeleton rows hold the reading space in place while the next chapter loads.Compare mode itself is a lightweight read-only reader layout. Open a pane in the main reader when you need verse study tools. Immersive annotations and stylus markup remain in the standard and immersive reader experiences.
