Seed Scroll gives you two separate tools, and they do different jobs. Reporting tells the Seed Scroll administrators that something breaks the rules. It is a message to us, and nothing changes in your app. Blocking is yours alone. It takes effect immediately, it is silent, and it does not involve an administrator. You can do both to the same account.

Report content

You can report a study, a reading plan, or an audio playlist from the screen where you are reading or listening to it.
1

Open the content

Open the public study, reading plan, or audio playlist you want to report.
2

Tap Report

The report action names what you are reporting, so you can be sure you have the right item before you send anything.
3

Choose a reason

Pick the category that fits best. A reason is required.
4

Add anything else

You can add an explanation and attach a screenshot. Both are optional.
5

Submit

You will see a confirmation that the report was sent.

Report a profile

Open the person’s profile and tap Report User. The flow is the same as reporting content, and the reasons are the same. You cannot report your own profile.

Reasons you can choose

Disagreeing about how a passage should be interpreted is not biblical rejection. Seed Scroll is a place where students read the same verse and see different things in it, and that is not something to report.

What happens after you report

  • Your report is anonymous. The person you reported is never told who reported them.
  • An administrator reviews it. Reports go to the Seed Scroll administrators, not to an automated system.
  • Nothing is hidden, blocked, or removed automatically. Submitting a report does not take the content down, and it does not block the account.
If you also want to stop seeing that person, block them. Reporting alone will not do it.

Block an account

Blocking is immediate, and it works in both directions. You can block someone from their profile, or from a study, reading plan, or playlist they created, using Block author. Before it takes effect, Seed Scroll tells you exactly what will happen. When you block someone:
  • You no longer see their studies, verse notes, reading plans, or playlists
  • They no longer see yours
  • Any follow between you is removed, in both directions
  • Notifications between you are deleted
  • They are not told they have been blocked
That last point matters if you are getting away from someone: the block is silent. Blocking requires an account, since there is no block list without one. See Guest mode.

See who you have blocked

Open Settings and find Blocked accounts. The list shows every account you have blocked.

Unblock someone

Open Blocked accounts, choose the account, and tap Unblock. You will be able to see each other’s work again. Following is not restored — if you followed each other before the block, you will each need to follow again.

Following

How following works, and what a follow shows you.
