Notifications

Stay informed about new followers, study activity, finished AI generations, and your daily reading reminders.

Seed Scroll sends notifications for social activity, finished AI generations, and reading reminders. Most categories can be turned on or off inside the app.

Notification types

Notification	When it’s sent
New follower	Someone follows you
Study interaction	Someone likes, copies, or saves one of your study notes
Reading plan activity	Someone likes, enrolls in, or completes one of your reading plans
New work from someone you follow	A creator you follow publishes a study note, reading plan, or audio playlist
AI generation finished	Your AI study or reading plan is ready — or could not be finished
Reading reminder	Your scheduled daily reading time

AI generation alerts

AI studies and reading plans are generated on Seed Scroll’s servers, so you do not have to sit and watch the progress screen. Leave the app, lock your phone, or read something else — you get a notification when the work is finished.

• Finished — your study or plan is ready. Open the app and Seed Scroll takes you straight to it.
• Could not be finished — generation failed. Open the app to see the reason and try again.

If the app is already open when generation finishes, your phone gives a short buzz instead.

AI generation alerts are not covered by the toggles below. They tell you about work you started yourself, so they are always delivered. Turning off notifications for Seed Scroll in your device settings silences them along with everything else.

Choose which alerts you get

Device alerts are controlled per category in Seed Scroll:

1. Open Reader Settings

   Tap Profile → Settings → Reader Settings, or tap the settings icon in the Bible reader.

2. Find Push Notifications

   Scroll to the Push Notifications section.

3. Toggle the categories you want

   • New followers
   • Study interactions — likes, copies, and saves
   • Reading plan activity — likes, enrollments, and completions
   • New work from people you follow — studies, reading plans, and audio playlists

Turning a category off stops the device alert. The activity still appears in your in-app notifications inbox.

Reading reminders

Set a daily reminder to keep your reading habit on track.

1. Go to Reader Settings

   Tap Profile → Settings → Reader Settings, or tap the settings icon in the Bible reader.

2. Enable Reading Reminder

   Toggle on Daily Reading Reminder and choose a time.

3. Confirm permissions

   If prompted, allow Seed Scroll to send notifications. You can change this anytime in your device’s notification settings.

View your notifications

Tap the Feed tab and then tap the bell icon in the top-right corner to open your notifications inbox. Unread notifications show a badge count on the Feed tab icon.

Manage notification permissions

The toggles above control what Seed Scroll sends. To silence the app entirely, go to your device’s Settings → Notifications → Seed Scroll and turn notifications off there.
